Health and Medical Conditions

Procedures within the grooming environment can be stressful for some dogs, especially for senior, young, overweight dogs or those with medical concerns. During the groom we may expose unknown medical conditions or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. In the case of any injury or illness of your pet this agreement will give Naturally Fluffy Dog Spa permission to seek emergency veterinary treatment, if we deem it necessary for whatever reason. We will do the best to contact you first, before taking your pet for treatment, however this may not always be possible. Unless we are deemed to be negligent all medical expenses are the responsibility of the owner. 

Vaccinations

By using our services, owners confirm that their dog is up to date with their annual vaccinations against Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, and Canine Parvovirus. An unvaccinated dog may put itself and others at risk. Naturally Fluffy Dog Spa takes no responsibility for any dog that may contract any of the aforementioned diseases.
Naturally Fluffy Dog Spa may ask for proof of vaccination and veterinary information which must be provided.

Fleas & Ticks

Naturally Fluffy Dog Spa is proud to be a tick/flea free environment. Please reschedule your groom if you know your dog has a parasitic infection. We recommend you seek out your vet for the best treatment. If Fleas are found by us at the drop off we may refuse grooming your dog, to not spread the parasites on to our premises. In case fleas/flea dirt are found on your dog while grooming, we will use a flea shampoo and be required to do additional disinfection of our premises and equipment. An additional £15 will be charged to your bill. We will not be held responsible for any infection caused by any ticks that have been removed.

Coat Condition

Naturally Fluffy Dog Spa practices humanity over vanity. According to the Animal Welfare Act 2006 it is an offence to cause unnecessary suffering to animals - which includes prolonged de-matting, which can be painful and detrimental to the welfare of the dogs. Mats cause great discomfort to dogs, as they pull tightly on their skin and underlying health issues may not be found until the mats have been clipped off. Sometimes the clipping of the coat will reveal sores and irritated skin. The removing of matts can also cause haematomas as the circulation to the skin was cut off. If we find a neglected coat, that would cause to much pain to de-matt, then we are required to clip your dog short. This can be avoided by regular brushing. We will make every effort to identify this at drop off and talk to you about it, but there may be occasions where the degree of the matting is not fully seen until we commence the groom.
In this event we will make every effort to contact you however if this is not possible we will, in our professional opinion, do what we believe is in the best interest of the welfare of the dog. The process increases the risk of injury to cuts and grazes as we have to go so close to the skin. The clipping of matted dogs takes longer, uses additional products and causes extra wear on our equipment so additional charges may apply. You are agreeing to not hold Naturally Fluffy Dog Spa or their owners and Staff responsible for any skin issues or injuries caused by the de-matting/ clipping on a neglected coat and medical expenses will be covered by the owner.

Behavioural Issues/ Charges

Aggression/Nervous/Anxious Dogs
Owners must inform Naturally Fluffy Dog Spa of any known aggressive behaviour traits their pet may have to other animals or humans. Specifically, if they have been advised by pervious groomer(s) of any of the aforementioned behaviours.

If you know your dog to be nervous/anxious you must let us know beforehand. 

If your dog should bite you agree to be responsible for all related medical and or Vet bills,  loss of earnings and equipment damage. We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe your dog may become a danger to itself or those within the salon. In the event any of these behaviours present during the groom the session may stopped at anytime and the full fee incurred.

 Please make sure your dog has been toileted or exercised to make the grooming experience more comfortable for them.

Time Keeping

Naturally Fluffy Dog Spa works to a strict time frame to ensure that your dog receives a good amount of time for their one-to-one care. We expect receive your dog at your given appointment time, if you are early we may still be with another client and would ask that you wait until your allocated time. On the other hand, if you are more than 15 minutes late we may have to refuse your groom on welfare grounds as rushing the groom may lead to unnecessary stress and possible injury. If you are late for collection or drop off a late fee may be applied. Which will be £5 for every 10 minutes late. We will always try to give you an estimated collection time and will message or ring 15-25 minutes before the groom is finished to give you time to collect on time.

Pricing

All prices provided are subject to change, if we deem following additional charges necessary

Additional charges may be incurred due to:
• Overweight dogs or oversized for the breed
• Unkept/neglected coats ( matting fees)
• Aggressive, senior, nervous, young or timid dogs that require additional handling/ time
• Fleas and/or ticks
• Appointment/ Pick up time not kept ( late fees)

Cancellations

We require 48 hours notice for cancelled appointments or the full grooming charge will apply and must be paid in full before re-booking. New Customers may require a 50% deposit which will be refundable up to 48 hours before the appointment is due.

General

Naturally Fluffy Dog Spa are unable to groom pregnant or in season bitches and will not provide services for any dogs noted under the Dangerous Dogs Act. Should your Bitch be in season during the time of a pre-booked appointment 48 hours notice must be provided to avoid the cancellation charge noted above.

Hold Harmless Agreement

By using our services you agree to hold Naturally Fluffy Dog Spa its owners and employees harmless from any damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of the dog, either known or unknown to us. It is also further understood and agreed the terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice, and will overwrite any and all prior signed contracts or releases. It is further understood this clause applies to any and all dogs groomed.

GDPR Statement

In order for us to provide the requested services, we are required to obtain and store a limited amount of your personal information. Such information will be stored in accordance with all relevant legislation, will never be shared with any 3rd parties or organisations and will only be used for the purposes of providing the requested or related services. 

All Payments must be made in Full before pick up.
